Preparation time: 15 mins
Cook time: 10 mins
1 tsp
1 tsp
Direction
Tips

French toast is always one of my favourite choice for quick-and-easy weekend brunch :) For a healthy option I choose to have chopped apple at side to serve with. Apples are lightly cooked with brown sugar and cinnamon. Hearty and tasty!
Preparation time: 15 mins
Cook time: 10 mins
Ingredient (serving size: 1)
French toast
2 white toast (I took raisin toast for my personal preference)
1 cup milk
1 egg
1 tsp cinnamon powder
Apples at the side
2 red delicious apples (4016)
10g butter
20g brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon powder
Direction
1/ Whisk milk, egg and cinnamon powder into mixture. Soak white toast into it, let it sit about 5 mins.
2/ Check if the breads are ready and fully absorbed the mixture. Sauté in low heat until both sides turn golden.
3/ Now prepare the apples served at the side. Peel and core the apple, and chop into bites.
4/ Using another pan, sauté the butter and get it melted. Pour chopped apple, and stir with brown sugar and cinnamon powder to get them coated. Stir until apples slightly turn golden, serve.
Tips
1/ For how long is needed for the bread to get soaked depends on which type of bread you are using. Like white bread they are more light in texture and will get soaked faster than wheat or rye toast. Be sure that the toast just get perfectly soaked but not too wet.
2/ You may sub apples with butter and maple syrup/ honey for a more traditional flavour.
